To Make You Look and Feel Your Best

Our services are open to anyone who needs clothing to help them move to employment or independence.  We require appointments for our services so that we can help you find the perfect outfit for your needs.

Clothing is free to those in need because as a nonprofit, we are supported by government partners, foundations, and individuals. We are also open to shoppers and every item sold in our stores helps to keep our services free for someone who cannot afford to pay.

Appointments are available in person or online, and open to anyone in the Greater Philadelphia Region. When you request an appointment, you will be asked to choose the type of clothing you need:

  • Professional clothing for a job search and interview
  • Business casual attire for your new job
  • Special attire such as scrubs or non-skid shoes for a specific industry or training program
  • Casual clothing to fill your closet after suffering a setback such as overcoming trauma, abuse, crisis, or after incarceration

Appointment Guidelines

  • Participants may not bring friends or relatives (including children)
  • Participants that are more than 15 minutes late will be rescheduled
  • All clothing must be tried on before leaving The Wardrobe (including scrubs, no returns)
  • Case managers/agents do not need to accompany participants, as our staff are assistants. However, if a client needs assistance from an aide or case manager, simply let us know when making the appointment.
  • Please let the scheduler know of any accessibility considerations, such as interpretation or wheelchair access, in advance so we can make sure we have everything ready for the appointment
  • To cancel or reschedule, please call The Wardrobe before the scheduled time
